Hermanus “Herman” Brood was a Dutch musician and painter from Zwolle, Netherlands. Brood achieved artistic and commercial success in the 1970s and 1980s. His fans called him “the greatest and only Dutch rock ‘n’ roll star”. His lifestyle – “sex, drugs and rock ‘n’ roll”. Brood released hits like “Saturday Night”, “Als Je Wint”, “My Way”. He also recorded a “Tattoo song”.
Because of failure of his drug rehabilitation program and having serious medical problems, Brood committed suicide on 11 July 2001 by jumping from the roof of the Amsterdam Hilton. His last note was “Party on. I’ll be seeing you.”
Furthermore Brood has a lot of cool tattoos on his arms. Some of them are “Dr Pepper” tattoo and Beavis tattoo from the “Beavis and Butt-Head” MTV cartoon.
